This place is awesome! They have live music almost all the time and bonfires! my friend works here and the atmosphere is amazing! They even have a menu for your dog.
The food is top notch, smoked meats and wonderful sides to go with them. They have good beer, cocktails, and non-alcoholic drinks.
It's right on the Trinity River which is nice. I love meeting friends here and having some good food and some good timesHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 6113219Apr 20, 2024
Came with a group of 4. The ambiance was nice and I liked the water view I saw online. Based of google and Yelp ratings this seemed to be a solid choice and thought it would be a good place to come to with my friends.
For the highlights of the experience here: the Nachos with Brisket were really good. My meal was the 1/2 pork rib slab and that was pretty good. The elote was also pretty good.
However, the rest of my party didn't enjoy their food. The broccolini tasted off for some reason possibly freezer burned , couldn't taste lemon on it. Just burnt garlic. Also ordered was a burger. The bacon on there was all fatty and no flavor. The stuffed peppers dish was so tiny it was unbelievable. And the fried chicken sandwich also lacked flavor. while the Lamb brisket was tasty the beef brisket tasted unseasoned almost like it been boiled?
Worst thing though the waitress also was really inattentive. She seemed to be having an off day. Based on this experience probably won't be back again.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 10, 20241 check-in
Born & raised Ft Worther and can say this was a major let down. Tim Love has been all the rage for years now but this place wasn't what we thought it would be. There are definitely better BBQ places in town.
The fried chicken skins were honestly missing flavor...the sprinkling of paprika and ranch didn't help me at all. The banh mo tacos were embarrassing. Sure the mexican elote looked good but after our experience with the chicken skins we gave up. Hubs wasn't super hungry so his snack of 1/4lb of brisket was the perfect size (and yes, that's the size you see in the 2nd pic.
As others have mentioned, $10 for valet to park your car in a tiny lot that you can see is just another embarrassing factor. But hey, it's by TCU and capitalism reigns supreme 'round these parts.
What we enjoyed the most was the patio and ambiance. That alone brought this place could have brought this place up to 3 stars.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 11, 2024
The Bulgogi Beef , house Kimchi, taco tastes great, while the fried sprouts tastes a little bit weird, too much oil, otherwise I think the food is great. With live music, pit fire and nice outdoor weather, definitely 5star for the vibe. The service is also fast at noon time, the waitress keep checks on you if everything is okay, in general, it's a pretty decent place to hang out.

Wood should smokehouse is a great place to eat. Mostly outside seating right by the river is very nice. We really liked. Crispy brussels sprouts were excellent as well as the pork, green chili, smoked cheddar, and apple flatbread. We did not like the thick cut, bacon pinch bun, it was more like a bunch of fat with a very thin layer of pork on top similar to pork belly. The sauce Came with it was too hot. The Mexican corn elotes very good either.

WOODSHED!
How is it that I live literally across the street and have not been inside to sit down and enjoy a meal?? My bad. That's on me. Forgive me. Anywho, I consider myself a Chicken Fried Steak connoisseur and I'd say my meal is definitely in my top two favorites. I was told by Johnathan that everything is a la carte however the Chicken Fried Steak came with au gratin potatoes. This meal woke my taste buds up with jalapeño cream gravy and pickled chiles.. never had anything like it! Johnathan was an excellent server and was very thoughtful to place my chiles on the side as opposed to the top of the steak. I'll be back to try more dishes!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Nov 6, 2023
We were recently in the Ft. Worth area for my aunt's 90th birthday; we'd traveled most of the day from San Antonio and were trying to feed our one year old.
Honestly, this wasn't our first choice, but this joint was just down the street. First let me say - there is no need for valet parking here. Seriously? Paid $10 to watch a guy park our car less than 20 feet away. Just....no. As a matter of fact, when we left, we just went and got in our car ourselves.
We were, however, seated right away, which was a plus on a Friday night with a fussy one year old. It's definitely a fun little joint - mainly outside - obviously great for live music - and the weather was perfect. It's right on the trails system, which was really fun. My daughter and I spent some time walking just outside the restaurant, listening to the live music, watching the sunset, and waiting for our orders. A+++ for ambiance!!!
The food came out pretty quickly - another plus. Overall, however, it was just okay. My wife had the tamales - and I agree with her they were a tad bland. The fish dip, although having decent flavor - was very watery, which made it messy. My double cheeseburger was very good, but my complaint here is that it should have been LARGER given the price point. A good burger is my absolute favorite thing to eat, so I'm tough on 'em, but I can honestly say - pretty darn good effort on the burger. Proportional, not soggy, good flavor
Overall, I would go back here if in the area again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 62487321Feb 10, 2024
Great BBQ selection - Great Drinks -Great Staff - Great Music! Party of four and we started with the nachos and margaritas. I had the chicken sandwich with homemade potato chips. Deliciousness in every bite. Loved the duet singing and playing guitar. Valet parking available. We found close street parking.

This place was perfect for a Sunday afternoon when you want good drinks, drool-worthy food, and great live music. The whole rib was unbelievable - massive amount of meat for only $22 is unbeatable. The staff was super friendly and the whole atmosphere was something I wish we had down in Austin.
Will definitely be back when we venture up to Fort Worth again!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
